Security, Integrity and Reliability in the digital transformation of TECS
Phil Hollett, Director, CSL

The Telecare industry has started on the biggest transformation in its history. The move from analogue to digital (or the ‘digital transformation’) will make our industry almost unrecognisable in 10 years time – and for the better! This is an opportunity to provide better services, richer in data, with higher levels of integrity and security.

The digital transformation requires products to be upgraded or swapped in order to ensure they can communicate when required. Currently most existing TECS solutions rely on a single telephone line as their emergency communication path. In the case of Warden-Call Schemes, if the telephone line is being used during an emergency or a call fails completely, residents could be left vulnerable, isolated and fire alarms may not be delivered to the monitoring centre. Where telephone lines are not available, are proving too costly or could be jeopardised, leading manufacturers are choosing CSL’s connectivity for their TECS solutions to overcome these challenges. This ensures that residents always have a working line of communication to send critical signals. The award winning WorldSIM offers true roaming, fixed costs and provides your customers with a reliable connection for critical communication services.

We are delighted to headline sponsor the 2017 International Technology Enabled Care Conference. CSL has been involved in the health sector – and as a member of the TSA – for many years. Our valuable insight into the sector comes from our partnerships with leading stakeholders including the TSA, MNOs (Mobile Network Operators) and Manufacturers. Together we strive to provide solutions and services that enhance performance and availability – providing complete connectivity solutions. Our longstanding relationships with MNOs and manufacturers allow CSL to provide a turnkey connectivity solution which includes full field customer support.

CSL are at the forefront of adapting to the challenges faced by our industry and are providing services for this digital transformation. The challenge will be to learn from the mistakes made in other sectors and not to repeat these. Other sectors and countries have gone through this transition and we have assisted our customers and partners where appropriate. As CSL also manufacturers our own communication devices we are uniquely placed to advise our partners on all apsects of the communication channel.

Our connectivity services are powered and underpinned by the Gemini Platform infrastructure, which has been designed with full resilience and diversity at every point. We proactively monitor the complete infrastructure 24/7 through CSL’s dedicated Network Team in our purpose built Network Operations Centre (NOC). As we add new solutions and innovations to our range, we are always ensuring that our services are secure and encrypted.

Visit us at the 2017 International Technology Enabled Care Conference to discover how CSL could help your business to bridge the analogue to digital gap. As well as being a headline sponsor, CSL is also sponsoring the Network and Collaboration Zone. The Zone is conveniently located on the balcony space overlooking the exhibition area, so come and visit us to Stay Connected at the TSA conference. Available for delegates to use over the two days, the Zone will allow you the opportunity to take a break away from the hustle and bustle of conference. Whether you need to check your emails, catch up with colleagues, meet with customers, or simply enjoy the refreshments on offer and pick up some CSL goodies! CSL will also have their team of experts on hand to discuss with you any queries you may have on the when and how of what good looks like from a communications point of view.

Looking forward to seeing you at conference!
