Virtual Conference FAQs

This may be your first Virtual Conference Experience so we’ve created the below list of FAQs to help you understand what you’ll need to do and help you get the best from Virtual ITEC!

How does a virtual event work and what help is there for me to get started?

In the lead up to the conference you will be sent an email providing you with a login link where you can then set up your virtual profile.

We have a dedicated page on how virtual networking will work and how best to stay connected throughout conference.

If you do need assistance at any time throughout the 4 days, we are on hand to help. You can get in touch with the TSA conference team here or visit the help desk when you are in the platform.

How do I register?

If you’ve not already registered your place, there is still time to buy your pass here. The booking process only takes a couple of minuets and will give you access to 4 full days of industry launches, expertise and networking opportunities.

Once you’ve booked your place, you will receive a confirmation email. In the lead up to the conference, you will receive a second email that will allow you to access the conference platform, where you can create your profile for the event.

When do I get to access my virtual profile?

After booking, you’ll receive an email with a link to your virtual profile.

Once you log in to the virtual platform for the first time you are able to create your conference profile where you can update your information, add an image of yourself, your social media platforms and include your interests.

Where can I find the program for each day?

Each day will follow a similar format with sessions running across three different stages. We want to make this virtual event as “real life” as possible, so we’ve made sure to include a time for lunch and comfort breaks throughout the day.

Over the 4 days, we’ll cover different topics in health, housing and social care with key speakers, product launches and networking opportunities. You can find a breakdown of how the days will run here.

How do I access the live sessions?

Sessions will be shown live in each of the three theatres at the advertised times, you can access the theatre from the conference foyer, or you can click on the relevant links on the conference programme to go straight through to the theatres.

Will I have to download extra software?

The conference platform is browser based, so you won’t need to install and additional software.

During your networking time, we will be using MS Teams. You can use the desktop app, mobile app and through your browser to access different rooms, however the dial functionality will not be available.

Can I ask questions to the speaker during a session?

The conference platform will allow you to ask speakers questions as you are watching a session. Your questions are sent directly over to the session chair, who will then be able to pose your question to the relevant speakers.  Please feel free to ask as many questions as you wish, the session chair will try to get through as many of the questions as possible, we but can’t guarantee we will get through them all.

What does the virtual venue look like?

We have 3 stages, a networking area, and exhibitor showcases.

The Main Auditorium, Innovation Stage and Breakout Theatre will host all of our presenters, product launches and panel sessions throughout the 4 days.
