ITEC has grown into one of the key meeting places for people working across technology enabled care, health, housing and social care.
For 2027, Care in a Changing World will bring the programme together, with People, partnerships and innovation shaping the future of health, housing and social care setting the focus for two days in Liverpool.
Across three stages, we will explore one central question:
How can we deliver quality care and support as demand rises, resources are stretched and expectations change?
The Innovation Stage will explore where technology is already delivering results and where more still needs to be understood. Sessions will cover AI and predictive approaches, data and intelligence, virtual wards, remote monitoring, digital reablement, smart homes and interoperability. We will also examine what organisations have learned from the digital switchover and how successful approaches can move beyond pilots into wider delivery.
The Impact Stage will focus on the people using, delivering and shaping care and support. We will explore workforce skills, lived experience, co-production, digital inclusion, independence, choice and control. Sessions will also look at neighbourhoods and communities, and how technology can support people while working well for the staff, families and services expected to use it.
The Partnerships Stage will explore the leadership, culture and relationships needed to work effectively across organisational boundaries. Health, housing, social care, local government, community organisations and technology providers will share experience around commissioning, investment, governance, risk and neighbourhood working, including where partnerships have worked, where they have struggled and what has helped turn plans into sustainable services.
Our full ITEC 2027 programme will be announced soon.
